It’s Right Here
“The Kingdom of Heaven is within.” — Jesus of Nazareth
How often do you strive to transcend your life and your problems into a spiritually enlightened state? Yet the Master Teacher reminds us the Kingdom of Heaven is not some place or time. It is “at hand”; it is “within.”
The whole point is to live the Kingdom of Heaven right here on Earth! Not to seek to remove the human from the spiritual world, but to bring Spirit right here, to earth, to every human situation and experience. You are in the “Kingdom of Heaven” when you know “the Christ Consciousness that You Are” and you let it take charge of your life. This brings you into alignment with the forces of the Universe and bestows peace, joy, bliss, and contentment to your very being. Isn’t that the definition of Heaven?
Reflection: When do you try to “run away” to heaven and leave your earthly experience behind? How can you bring Spirit into that situation?
Affirmation: I reveal the Kingdom of heaven, right here and right now. I am a bringer of Light and Love, Presence and Peace. I bring Heaven to Earth!
Receive the Nourishing Rain….
“Tears of joy are like the summer rain drops pierced by sunbeams.” — Hosea Ballou
“Rain is grace; rain is the sky condescending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.” — John Updike
When you were a kid, did you ever run outside to stand in the warm, pouring rain? We did! We’d throw back our heads with mouths wide open and “catch” the raindrops on our face and tongue. We’d create whole dam systems in the rivulets that ran beside the road. I remember feeling absolutely nourished and washed clean by those summer rains.
You are nourished by the gentle presence of Life, just as the earth is nourished by the rain. Spirit is forever showering you with life. Love is always radiating into your life. Light is forever illuminating your way. Stand open in the “rain” of Life’s bounty and allow yourself to receive the blessings of this downpour of Love, Joy, Wholeness, and Peace. Let it wash your mind and heart clean of the past. Open your heart and mind wide to take it all in!
Reflection: Are you open to the nourishing rain of the Presence? Where are you holding up a blocking “umbrella”?
Affirmation: I allow Spirit to wash over me, nourishing and fulfilling all my needs. My Light and Love overflow and nourish others.
Stop Comparing
“Comparison is the death of joy.” — Michael Gott
“Remember this, you are absolutely unique, just like everyone else.” — Margaret Mead
Never compare yourself to anyone else. Your gift is unique and precious. No one creates, thinks, feels, or sees the world just like you do. You can always find someone you think is better at something than you are. Do not try to be just like them. Allow them to inspire you to possibility, not imitation.
You can also find someone who isn’t as good as you. Thus, you can, at any moment, feel both superior and inferior – neither of which is true. You are a precious, unique, one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated incarnation of Life Itself… just like everyone else. See it in yourself. See it in others.
Reflection: Where do I compare myself to others? What opportunity or possibility is this blocking in my life?
Affirmation: I am a unique and precious expression of Life. I am exactly who I am. My gift to life is only mine to give.
Stick-to-it-ness!
“Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration!” — Thomas Edison
Being creative may start with an idea, but then it moves into implementation. This is often the place where it fizzles out because of a lack of discipline, drive, and willingness to stick to it.
“You can do it!” “Attitude is everything.” “Believe you can, and you can.” These are not simply empty words. This is a powerful formula for the alchemy of consciousness that causes you to succeed. This is the discipline required of you to do what you want and to create the life and success you desire. Yes, you CAN do it! Just start, and then stick to it.
Reflection: Am I easily discouraged? Do I easily give up? What attitude do I have towards my goals and dreams?
Affirmation: Yes, I Can! Spirit supports me! I am consistent, committed, and diligent in moving toward my dreams and goals.
Creativity
“It is better to create than to learn! Creating is the essence of life.” — Julius Caesar
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” — George Bernard Shaw
Isn’t Life amazing? Here you are, surrounded by a planet that feeds you, friends that love you, and a life that’s yours for the making. What are you creating with this marvelous life of yours? Are you creating busyness, unhappiness, or boredom? Or, are you creating connection, creative expression, meaningful activity, and hope?
Your life is as amazing as YOU decide to make it! Stop believing in your own lack of creativity. You are as creative as the Universe, because the Macrocosm is reflected in you, the microcosm! All the creative nature of Life is available to you, right now! What do you want to create?
Reflection: Do you believe in your ability to create the life of your dreams? What’s holding you back?
Affirmation: I now create the fulfilling, meaningful, loving, and expressive life of my dreams. My life is amazing!
Happy Fourth of July!
As America celebrates its freedom from the tyranny of a king who ruled from a far-off country, let us examine the ways our freedom is being ruled from a different “far-off country”…ideas from the past or from people who want us to conform, or even from people and laws that don’t even know us.
Celebrate the freedom of your Divine Birthright today! Continue to claim it and work to make it a reality every day!
It’s Their Reality
“You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.” — The Bible (John 8:32)
There is scary information “out there” in the world, that I could perpetuate by mentioning it, here. The doomsday prophets are plentiful with their Armageddon statistics. The sad part is this is their “true world” of fear, in which these individuals have chosen to live. They’ll tell you, “It’s not a choice—it’s reality. Just look at the facts.” Then, there are those who naturally see Good everywhere. The world they have chosen to live in is filled with Light and Good, and they can’t be convinced otherwise. It’s their reality, and they have the evidence to prove it. Neither can understand the perception of the other.
The mystical aim is to behold Spirit in all things. The mystic’s desire is to move into a higher state of consciousness at will, and not be caught in the gravitational pull of duality. If Spirit is Infinite, then logically, there cannot be God and something else. As you accept this spiritual status, you’ll be free of the torment of fear. This means you’ll be dropping the negative perspectives you are holding onto, allowing the Infinite to guide your thoughts and life to a higher perception of Truth. If you don’t want to live by the collective beliefs of a fearful society (with its documented reasons to fear!), you must choose your alignment of thought – be governed by Truth or by fear.
Reflection: Where are you being led by fear? What would you imagine to be the Truth if you moved to a higher state of consciousness?
Affirmation: My life is filled with abundant Good!
Caught Looking
“When you change the way you look at the things, the things you look at change.”— Wayne Dyer
Have you ever been around a group of people in a restaurant or other crowded space, and felt someone staring at you and you turned and saw they were? Or maybe you were looking at someone when they turned around and caught their eyes with yours? There is conduit, or something, there, moving in the unseen space that is as real and definite as your other five senses. Just because it can’t be seen, doesn’t mean it’s not real.
Have some fun and experiment with this. Add emotions or feelings to your psychic tap and see what kind of response you get. Expand your distance to see how far away you can touch. Think of some friends who are not close by. Check in with them to see if they thought about you for some “unknown reason”, at the same time you were opening your heart to them.
Obviously, your contribution to this invisible field is real! Imagine if you consciously chose to make deposits of love, generosity, appreciation, and joy, what a significant, energetic sea you’d be swimming in!
Reflection: The big question is what are you adding to this collective field? What would you like to dissolve? What new good do you want to bring to your invisible environment?
Affirmation: I am a positive contributor to the energetic field around me!
Inner Strength
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Inner strength is the product of being comfortable in your own skin, and knowing what you can and cannot do, and being willing to admit what you do and do not know. When do you masquerade behind a façade of bravado, simply pretending to be strong? How often are you afraid to be found out?
Having Inner strength means you are willing to put effort into whatever you are doing, even if it seems difficult. Moving from your inner strength means you can ask for help when you need it. Living out of true inner strength means you can say, “I cannot do this”, without feeling diminished or simply giving up.
Reflection: Are you comfortable with asking for help or saying ‘I don’t know?” where are you pretending to be strong?
Affirmation: My inner strength comes from the Truth of Spirit within me. I lean on Spirit, knowing it is strong enough for anything.
Your Purpose
“It seems that man exists for the purpose of self-expression. There appears to be no other reason or excuse for his being.” — Ernest Holmes
Your life has a purpose. It’s not to be a certain thing like an actor or accountant, nor to do only a certain thing, like sing or love. So often your purpose has been made too small by trying to be fit into a box or a label. Your purpose is to be an inlet and outlet for Life, for Consciousness, for the Divine. Without you, there is a piece of God missing.
Life’s desire is to express Itself through all creation. Spirit’s desire is to experience Itself through Creation. Your purpose is for Life and Spirit to be expressed, AS YOU! Your purpose is to be the Divine experiencing life. Your truest purpose – to express and experience all the qualities of God, through you, as your very life! Enjoy!
Reflection: What is your purpose? How are you expressing and experiencing the Divine through EVERY aspect of your life?
Affirmation: My life’s purpose is to be Spirit AS me; to love, give, grow, and express as much of the Divine as I possible can, every moment, through every action, in every relationship.
What, not How!
“We can never know in advance whether we are going to succeed with something new. That’s why doubt is a condition of the process. But when we experience the doubt and keep going anyway, our trust in our capacity to find our way through the unknown grows exponentially.” — M. J. Ryan
Always focus on the what, not the how. Your job in co-creating your life with God, is to focus on the end result. What do you want to manifest or experience? What is your highest idea or your digest dream for your life. Stay focused on that, that is your job in co-creation.
God’s job in the co-creation process is the how. Don’t you worry about it. There is an infinite wisdom and intelligence in the Universe, called the Law of Cause and Effect that knows how to create anything. It’s created the whole Universe, so surely it knows “how” to create the way to your goal. Even when you doubt or are afraid and what to control things, it is so much better if you do not meddle in the how. Stay focused on the what. This is called Faith!
Reflection: What do I want? Where I am letting the “how” keep from moving in the direction of my dreams?
Affirmation: I focus only on the end result. I leave the How up to God. I take each step as it appears before me, trusting in the process.
Good and Evil?
“We refuse to believe that evil has any reality of its own; its only claim to existence is the one our belief gives to it.” — Ernest Holmes
Why do bad things happen to good people? This ancient question is one of life’s mysteries. We can never really know the answer to “why”. You may not know why something is happening the way it is happening in your life, but one thing you can know for sure…Good will come of it. How do you know good will come of it? You know it, because you demand it.
Look back over your life and see how many times something happened that you thought was bad at the time, that actually is part of what brings you to being who and where you are today? Notice when something “bad” turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Now, make this claim on the Universe. Demand to make Good out of what is going on right now, even if you don’t know or can’t imagine what that good might be. YOU don’t have to know. The Law of Life itself must make it so.
Reflection: List “bad” things that have happened in your life that turned out to alright in some way or even became a gift in your life.
Affirmation: I claim that good must come of this situation. I demand it of the Universe and I trust that it is so, even if I can’t see it right now.
The Grass Isn’t Always Greener
“Bloom where you are planted.” — Bishop of Geneva, Saint Francis de Sales
Horses often come to fence so they can eat handfuls of the exact same grass that someone feeds them from the other side. How often does the grass appear greener on the other side to you? Whenever you are feeling that you’ll be happier, healthier, wealthier if you just where some place else, you are suffering from the greener grass syndrome.
It’s important, first, to take the time to appreciate where you are and what you already have. You may already be living your bliss and not recognize it. What do you really need to change to be who you are and give your gift? It may be your situation, or it may simply be your perspective. You might try nibbling a bit more consciously on the grass you’re already standing in, and see if it doesn’t taste just the same.
Reflection: Is there someplace in my life where I have used the phrase “When I…. then I’ll….?” Can I have, get, do or experience that thing right here and right now?
Affirmation: I notice how my life currently supports me. I make conscious choices and changes.
Using the Power for Good
“There is a power in the Universe, and you can use it for good” — Ernest Holmes
The universal power is one of creation and it operates through the Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever you focus on becomes “cause” in your life, producing the “effect” which is the life you are living today. Are you using this power for good in your life and for the good of others?
You use this power for good by focusing your intention on, and paying attention to, the good you want to create. Focus your consciousness. Intend to be loving, generous, and purposeful. The power of your intention is that it sets a new “cause”, a new course, in the Law, which automatically produces a new “effect.” The power of the Universe is always responding by growing and multiplying what you focus upon.
Reflection: How consciously are you using your intention to use the power of the Universe for good?
Affirmation: I intend to live on purpose, in a fulfilled and meaningful life. My intention is the focusing lens through which I look and act.
Celebrate Others
“You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.” — Jim Stovall
One of the best ways to increase your joy and prosperity is to celebrate the good that other people are receiving. Being truly joyful for another expands your mental equivalent and creates a strong attractor in your own consciousness. Every time you can genuinely celebrate someone else’s success you are adding the feeling and the image you hold about success in your own mind.
When you get lost in comparisons, are envious, or simply unable to celebrate someone else’s good, you contract your own mental equivalent, and this closes the door in your own mind to your greater good. You can feel the sense of contraction this creates, rather than the expansion that celebrating, with real joy, creates.
Reflection: How can you celebrate someone’s good fortune with them today? Where are you holding back your joy for someone else’s good?
Affirmation: I joyfully celebrate the success and prosperity of others.
