Divine Dining 2: Dine in “Joy”

Help raise money for our teens to attend camp!

AUGUST YOUTH SUNDAY SERVICE

Each August, the youth of JOY Village creates and present the entire Sunday Celebration experience. This is one of the most well-attended Sundays all year and for good reason. Youth of all ages provide the Sunday service including greeting, crystal bowl singing, music, inspirational talks, affirmative prayer and announcements. Afterwards, JOY Village offers a community luncheon. The day finishes with a transformative workshop presented by the teens based on what they learned at Summer Camp.

SUMMER & WINTER CAMPS

Each year CSLDallas offers our teens the opportunity to attend the Centers for Spiritual Living national summer camp in Vernonia, OR, at Camp Cedar Ridge. The weeklong July camp attracts over 300 teens ages 13-18 from across the nation for a transformational week of workshops, recreation, community building activities and fun. The goal of camp is to help teens empower themselves through spiritual awakening and transformation. One of the unique aspects of camp is that themes, workshops and activities are designed by CSL teens from around the nation who serve on a national camp committee.  Many teens from the CSLDallas program also attend the regional winter camp in January.

To fund their attendance at camp and their advisors’ attendance as well, teens organize a major annual fundraiser called Divine Dining which is generously supported by the CSLDallas community.  Scholarships are awarded to teens who demonstrate consistent attendance at teen program events and who participate in community service and fundraising. Parental support of the teen program is also considered.  Teens who do not wish to be considered for a scholarship may pay for camp individually. The cost the attend camp is approximately $1000 which includes airfare, bus transportation and camp registration fee.
