November Theme – Take Up Your Life
It’s been said that if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. If you aren’t physically capable of doing the things you love to do, or if your energy is run down, you can’t take up your life to its fullest. Science has long discovered the mind/body connection. We know that our attitudes affect our health and we have also learned that the state of our physical well-being affects our attitude.
Health, from this standpoint, includes your overall well-being – physical, emotional, mental, as well as spiritual. Because of this intimate connection, we know that we can enter into the wheel of creating well-being in more than one way. We can enter into it by caring for our body with eating and exercise. We can enter into it by dealing with our emotions and patterns of unforgiveness or grief. We can enter into it be developing a positive attitude and disciplining our thinking. We can enter into it by focusing on the Divine Pattern of Wholeness and revealing that in every area of our life.
At CSLDallas we believe that each and every way that we focus on nurturing and creating well-being in our life is valuable. We begin with the expectation of well-being and focus on the inherent Wholeness of Life. We work to rewrite old beliefs and false patterns of thinking like ageism or inherited tendencies. We release emotions that we have stored in our bodies and psyche. And we focus on intentional and mindful eating and activity in support of this wonderful house we call our body temple.
This month, we will be exploring all of these aspects of our well-being using Greg Anderson’s book, The 22 Non-Negotiable Laws of Wellness, along with Science of Mind Principles to empower us to Take Up Our Health and therefore Take Up Our Life more fully!
