What are you taking in?

“Garbage in, Garbage out.”  Your brain is a filtering, processing machine designed to absorb and respond to everything that comes in through your senses. In other words, whatever you are letting in or taking in, is what your brain is working on. Like a computer – what you put in is what you get out. You absorb fear and negativity by providing yourself with lots of that kind of input – from the news and in conversations. Or you absorb possibility, compassion, connection, hope, and power by providing yourself with lots of that kind of input – from the news, in conversations, in spiritual study and personal practice.

Take charge of what goes into your brain – limit the kind of input you don’t want to participate in creating. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know what’s going on. It just means you don’t make a steady diet of it. Feast on uplifting, positive, spiritual food and your brain will automatically set to work on absorbing and responding in alignment with this diet instead. “Possibility in, Possibility out.”  “Love in, Love out.” “Vision in, Vision out.”
