What is this Power within and how do we ignite it? In January, we will explore these questions by going back to the basics of our teaching. The answers to these questions lie in our understanding of the nature of God, the Universe, ourselves, and our place in it. We will allow Ernest Holmes himself be our guide as we walk together through the four introductory chapters of the Science of Mind Textbook.

From that grounding, we will burst into a year of Igniting the Power Within in our relationships, manifestation, abundance, success, and more. We will discover the Power Within through the teachings of Jesus and Buddha while expanding into our Cosmic Self. We will ignite the power of our minds and spark the passion of hearts. Together, we will Firewalk, Crack the Cosmic Egg, and enthusiastically Fire-Up our Game of Life.

The Science of Mind

The Science of Mind is a book by Ernest Holmes. It proposes a science with a new relationship between humans and God. Holmes, the founder of Religious Science, originally published it in 1926. A revised version was completed by Holmes and Maude Allison Lathem and published in 1938.

Holmes’ writing details how people can actively engage their mind in creating change throughout their lives. Explanations of how to pray and meditate, heal oneself spiritually, find self-confidence, and express love led Holmes to believe Religious Science is “a philosophy, a faith and a way of life.”
