CSLDallas, a vibrant, diverse, and thriving Center for Spiritual Living, is seeking a Music and Arts Director.
This is a well-paid, part-time position allowing our Music and Arts Director to thrive here at home, out in the greater Dallas area and beyond as well. Our new Music and Arts Director has a passion for moving people with music, has a vision for the power of music in our services and celebrations, and has a special grove all their own.
There is an opportunity to move into a full-time position in the near future, especially if this is something that aligns with the desire of the hired Music and Arts Director. We want to offer that opportunity and yet hold the flexibility not to require that if someone wants to continue to travel out, share their gifts, and perform in the greater community.
Ideally our new Music and Arts Director has previous experience as a Music Director in a New Thought Spiritual Community (and we welcome experience in another faith tradition as a worship leader where music deepened members and their connection with God), with an emphasis on providing a wide variety of music, writing and performing on the piano/keyboard (preferred but not required) and singing, preparing music for band and choir members. Having a love for and a wealth of knowledge about New Thought, Spiritual, Gospel artists and their music would also be ideal. Additionally, our new Music and Arts Director sees the value of creativity in our spirituality, while nourishes budding artists, and providing opportunities for community members to grow in and share their own creativity through our choir, praise team, and individual solos. Finally, our new Music and Arts Director has a heart of service, a love for community, and a commitment to our teachings.
Any one or many of these experiences may be substituted for a deep willingness to learn and grow into the position and do whatever it takes to become proficient in our requirements for this exciting addition to our dynamic ministry.
Please email your resume to [email protected]. Interviews will be conducted in person or via Skype. Auditions will be held in early 2019. We’d like for the position to be filled by April 2019. The person reports directly to Rev Karen.
