“Bloom where you are planted.” — Bishop of Geneva, Saint Francis de Sales
Horses often come to fence so they can eat handfuls of the exact same grass that someone feeds them from the other side. How often does the grass appear greener on the other side to you? Whenever you are feeling that you’ll be happier, healthier, wealthier if you just where some place else, you are suffering from the greener grass syndrome.
It’s important, first, to take the time to appreciate where you are and what you already have. You may already be living your bliss and not recognize it. What do you really need to change to be who you are and give your gift? It may be your situation, or it may simply be your perspective. You might try nibbling a bit more consciously on the grass you’re already standing in, and see if it doesn’t taste just the same.
Reflection: Is there someplace in my life where I have used the phrase “When I…. then I’ll….?” Can I have, get, do or experience that thing right here and right now?
Affirmation: I notice how my life currently supports me. I make conscious choices and changes.
