Somewhere along the line I realized that wanting something, affirming for something, or praying for something wasn’t enough if I wanted to manifest long-lasting growth in my abundance and overall life experience. I learned that I could demonstrate immediate fulfillment of a specific need for the moment, but I still kept re-creating my overall life, over and over again, in the same familiar patterns. I realized that I had to become different, not just demonstrate a momentary experience, if I wanted a more fulfilling life.
Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement. Golda Meir
I started working on becoming the kind of person who has or does that which I wanted to experience. I worked to become someone who has healthy relationships, for instance. This meant that I had to actually become healthy in my relationships; I had to learn to act in a healthy manner. I couldn’t just affirm for a healthy partner or relationship—I had to become it myself. This is true in every area of my life. In learning to become someone who takes of himself physically, for example, I have had to actually see this was possible for me. Then I worked to believe that I am that!
Spiritual Contemplation: What kind of Self do you want to manifest? How can you become that on the inside, to manifest it on the outside?
Affirmation: I am someone who . . . (fill in your own statement).
