The eastern idea of Yin and Yang brings awareness to the complimentary nature of the universe without locking it into a western mentality which identifies these ways of being with gender. In the west, the feminine and masculine have become overidentified with gender and sexuality. Yet if we are whole beings, wholly expressing the Oneness of the Divine Nature, then each of us carries YIN and YANG energy. Yet our culture over values Yang energy, especially in today’s polarized and divided environment.

In Dr Petra’s workshop today, she invites us to celebrate, explore and embody the energy of YIN without identifying it with the western box of the female gender or even femininity. Dr Petra Weldes has been leading workshops, retreats and teaching for over 35 years to spiritual seekers on a variety of topics.
