Emerging Love: Hanukkah & Bodhi Day

At this time of year, we celebrate a tapestry of traditions and faiths, each offering profound insights into the journey of the human spirit.

In this talk, we will take a closer look at two powerful traditions: the Buddhist celebration of Bodhi and the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. Though these traditions originate from different cultural and spiritual backgrounds, they share common themes of awakening, resilience, and illumination.

Many faith traditions inspire us to find our inner light, even in times of darkness. Ernest Holmes reminds us that “We have within us, a power that is greater than anything we shall ever contact in the outer, a power that can overcome every obstacle in our life and set us safe, satisfied and at peace, healed and prosperous, in a new light, and in a new life.”

There is an inner presence in everyone, an inner voice, an inner light, that is ever seeking to guide, direct, and inspire. It is the Universal Spirit and we may all turn to it and seek it. As practitioners of New Thought and Spiritual Artists, let’s explore our little light and how we’re going to let it shine

Christopher Miller (CJ) founded and served as the creative director of Rainmaker Advertising for 25 years. In 2022, he transitioned to pursue his passion as a full-time artist, speaker, and writer, focusing on how creating art fosters spiritual growth. He also produces The Spiritual Artist Podcast, where he shares stories of enlightenment and growth through conversations with today’s artists and thought leaders. CJ has spoken at various art and spiritual centers, including the Church of One Love and his recent presentation as the featured speaker for CC Young’s 2024 Spirit is Ageless Awards Reception & Celebration. Additionally, his recent solo exhibit titled Love Rollercoaster was on display at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, from August through October of this year. JOY VILLAGE: Journey Of Youth

CSLDallas offers joyful, enlightening Sunday classes for our Kids and Teens. Each Sunday dives into the principles of Science of Mind in age-appropriate ways, while teaching the kids practical applications of a positive spirituality. We believe the teachings are designed to support our kids to become the adults they came into this world to be.
