Spiritual Traveling with CSLDallas – Creating Community within Community

Traveling opens our minds to new experiences and our hearts to new people. It offers intimate opportunities to learn and grow alongside our ministers. CSLDallas Sacred Travel is a spiritual pilgrimage, inviting us to go deeper into our spiritual practice and teachings through the lens of the people and places we visit. Combining sacred places with morning spiritual practice allows us to learn and practice together. Eating, exploring, riding, and rooming together allows us to connect to CSLDallas folks in ways beyond compare.

Experience the Mystical Energy and Heart of Egypt with Rev Karen & Dr Petra for 14 Days! This trip is limited to 18 people plus our Co-Spiritual Directors.

November 13 – 26, 2022

Travel to the Motherland with Rev Karen and Dr Petra, and experience where mystical spirituality began. This is a small group, CSLDallas Sacred Travel trip that’s limited to 18 people. Feel the Presence and Power of Life Itself in the ancient Egyptian temples, Great Pyramids, Valley of the Kings, Nile Cruise, and the new Grand Egyptian Museum.

Each day, we will come together and do spiritual practice together and dive deep into the mysterious, mystical Presence of Egypt.

Imagine having the priceless experience of soaking up some of the most sacred ancient places on the planet privately as a small group – no other tourists/people around! We have that opportunity while visiting: the Giza Plateau (stand between the paws of the Great Sphinx); Philae / Isis Temple at Dawn (meditation at sunrise); and the Great Pyramid (private meditation inside the King’s Chamber).

Day 1, Sat, Nov 13: Arrive Cairo:

Arrive at Cairo Airport where you will be met by your Quest Travel Tour Manager who will assist you through customs/immigration before transferring you to your luxury accommodations at the Mena House Hotel. Bask in the exquisite beauty of the Mena House grounds and the Great Pyramids in view!

Day 2, Mon, Nov 14: Opening Circle / Egyptian Museum / Khan El Khalili / El Moez Street / Welcome Dinner

Following breakfast, we will have an opening circle to connect and do spiritual practice together.

Then we visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (providing it is open to the public). The Grand Egyptian Museum will feature 20,000+ relics that have never been on display before. Additionally, there will be several items belonging to King Tutankhamen that hadn’t been released since their original discovery in 1922. In total, this museum is expected to hold and display over 100,000 different artifacts dating to a variety of periods in Egypt’s history-making it the largest archaeological museum in the world. “It will be an event you’ll never ever forget for the rest of your life,” promised Mostafa Waziry, head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

If by some slim chance the Grand Egyptian Museum isn’t open, we will visit the Egyptian Museum of Cairo to view the spiritual legacy of priests, kings, queens, scribes, and healers.

Followed by a visit to Al-Muizz li-Din Allah Street is an eloquent witness for historical Cairo with the various monuments spread along both sides of the street. You can walk along with history when you walk in Al-Muizz Street, The most beautiful Islamic street in Cairo, Islamic monuments & mosques are on each side of the Street, there you can view El Hakem Mosque 1000 years ago.

In this same area, we will visit the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest shopping districts in the world. You will be transported back in time to an old Arab souk – it’s like going back to the time of Ali Baba and Aladdin. Merchants have been trading on this site since at least the 14th century. In 1384, an emir named Al Khalili built a great Khan here. Buyers visited the khan for the goods brought in on the merchant caravans, and the selling and bartering spread to the streets around. You’ll get to experience shop owners calling you to their stalls, the scent of spices, the hustle and bustle of trade, and the many beautiful objects that can be purchased will have you lost among alleys for hours. Put your haggling skills to the test when buying statuettes, silk pashminas, spices, souvenirs, silver jewelry, t-shirts, galtbiyyas, belly dancing costumes, or almost anything for that matter.

In the evening we will enjoy our Welcome Dinner at one of the famous Egyptian local restaurants.

Meals Included: (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3, Tues, Nov 15: Giza Plateau / The Sphinx / Sakkara:the-sphinx-web

In the very early morning, we start our special day with a private visit to the Giza Plateau, when nobody else is there except our group. Listen closely as you awaken and dress for Sunrise at the Valley Temple of Chephren on the Giza Plateau. As you wake up, you will hear the incredible sounds of the entire city being called to prayer. Open your door and listen – Feel the energy of the spirits. We will then be off to discover some of the most awesome Wonders of the World to touch them and to feel them – The Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of the Giza Plateau. We will pay particular attention to the Sphinx. Our guide, who is an encyclopedia of Egyptology, will give us detailed examinations of various controversial theories surrounding these amazing structures.

Back to the hotel for an incredible breakfast buffet while still seeing the Pyramids in our view.

In the afternoon, we will drive by luxury bus to Sakkara, where we visit the oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, and its temple of sound and healing. This is when we begin a luxurious trip down the Nile River on our private boat – only us, the crew, and master chefs.

We sail to Kom Ombo to visit the only dual temple in Egypt. This dramatic temple poised between the edge of the river and the encroaching desert sand was dedicated to two gods – Sobek the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility, and rebirth, and Horus the hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris. The duality of light/ dark, yin/yang, conscious/unconscious is apparent in this ancient site. One of the most powerful places in Kom Ombo is the Seat of Neutrality, which is placed on the exact centerline between the parts of the temple that are dedicated to Horus/Sobek and Light/Dark.

We then continue sailing and overnight on an island near Kom Ombo.

Then we sail the Nile all day till we get to visit Edfu and the Temple of Horus, one of the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. When you approach the temple complex, you become aware of its enormous dimensions, with a vast courtyard, a forest of towering columns, and high ceilings. The side chambers of the Temple of Horus show the complexity of ancient rites; they include a healing chamber, a perfumery, and singers’ rooms.

One chamber called the House of Life, stored all of the sacred texts used in seasonal and daily rituals. Horus is associated with higher vision and clarity. The eye of Horus greatly relates to his myth and power. The left eye represents the lunar, the moon, the intuitive, the feminine energy. The right eye is connected to the solar, the masculine, the action, and the yang energy. Both are necessary for true power to exist. In a private empowerment ceremony, we will work with balancing the lunar and the solar energies inside of us and awaken our intuitive centers to be able to experience a higher perspective. Overnight on an island near Edfu.
