Unlocking the Power of Conversations

September 10, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We live our lives one conversation at a time. Since we are in conversations like fish are in the water, we may be unaware of the elements of conversations that optimize our thought processes and authentic engagement with others. Do you find yourself in conversations and crave to shift the focus toward making sense of your experiences and acquiring shared understanding? Would you like to be able to cultivate common meaning? The search for meaning is both a social and individual endeavor.

Join Dr. Tom Boldrey for this highly interactive, experiential course where we will practice the core principles and protocols of group dialogue, based on David Bohm’s writings, in a safe practice field called the “container of dialogue” where the power and potential of authentic conversations are unveiled and unleashed.

Session 1: Overview and exploration of the elements of conversation
Session 2: The impact, power, and barriers of deep listening
Session 3: Recognizing assumptions and judgments and the Ladder of Inference
Session 4: The power of inquiry, reflection, and silence
