Be part of an enchanting experience at our Spirit Avatar Workshop where you will create a figurine that embodies the essence of your inner spirit! Guided by artist Valery Guignon, you will use wire for an armature, beautiful hand-dyed silks, sea shells, inspiring objects, and hot glue guns to bring your imagination to life.

The completed avatars will be lightweight, bendable, and range from 12-18 inches tall, making them perfect for hanging on walls, balancing on shelves, given as a gift to a special friend, or even flying from the ceiling! They are a special and unique keepsake that you will cherish for years to come.

To personalize your Spirit Avatar, we encourage you to bring materials such as:

• Gloves, aprons, scissors, hot glue guns, bendable wires
• Feathers, single earrings, leather scraps, interesting stones, sequins, small driftwood pieces, silks and other light weight fabrics, interesting odds and ends, materials for hair, etc.
• Anything interesting to include on the completed avatar!

The teacher will bring:

• Bendable wires, silks and other light weight fabrics, interesting odds and ends,
  scissors, materials for hair, etc.
• Hot glue guns and other glues, stuffing, paint

Meet the Artist

Valery Guignon is a lifetime artist working in many mediums. As a welder, she learned to love bending wire and create three dimensional sculptures. As a dyer of silks, she learned to include the beauty of fabric with her bent metal figures. Out of this combination, and with her vivid imagination, she created the magic off the avatar spirit doll and loves teaching others.

Applying many decades of experience, Valery Guignon designs comfortable and wearable art pieces, with each uniquely painted, designed & tailored.
