What Shall We Believe In? A Christmas Eve Service
Tuesday, December 24, 2023
6:30 – 8:00pm
We’ve grown up with familiar Christmas stories about a baby in a manger, miraculous events, shepherds, wise men, and angels.
But what shall we make of this story today?
What message might it have for spiritual people in our world besides the way we heard it as children?
There is always deep spiritual significance in signs and stories, especially those that last through the ages. Ancient wisdom is often cloaked in metaphor, symbology, and stories that people may hear with their hearts and not just their heads.
And in today’s “fact” based, increasingly secular world it can be difficult to imagine what these stories have to do with us.
However, as Joseph Campbell discovered and Star Wars proved to us, there is power in myth, insight, and even transformation available in these ancient stories. This year we invite you to dive into the story, with new eyes, ears, and heart. Let us seek out the deeper truths, initiations, and spiritual guidance together, so that we may be awakened to the light all over again.
The evening will include Powerful music Insightful messages Ancient candle lighting ritual. Followed by cookies and cider. Childcare for those under 5 provided.
