Compassionate Communication Class
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until August 6, 2021
Teacher: Dorayne Breedlove
June 10 – August 5 (9 Weeks)
Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Based on the groundbreaking material from Marshall Rosenberg’s work of “Nonviolent Communication”, each class is dedicated to specific aspects of life where we learn directly from Marshall Rosenberg on how to communicate in a way that creates empathetic listening and willing cooperation. We learn the “Language of Life” based on discovering our feeling and needs. Compassionate Communication is about creating a quality of connection with people that ends in getting all the needs met through compassionate understanding and giving. It is a radical way of communicating.
Join us for this 9-week exploration into a new paradigm of relating. Each week prior to class, students will view an hour lecture by Marshall Rosenberg. In class, we will discuss the key concepts of the materials presented and do activities based on those key concepts as we develop a new language of life based on feelings and needs.
