CSLDallas Takes a Stand for Women!

Our Spiritually Motivated Social Engagement (SMSE) Committee invites you to join us this SUNDAY, JANUARY 19th. Put on your marching shoes for the 2020 Dallas Women’s March (http://bit.ly/2QT5tuo), commemorating #100YEARS of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote! The march will be led by the Native American community, culminating in a rally with an incredible lineup: Amazing speakers and fantastic performances. The march is this Sunday from 2-5 PM in downtown Dallas and CSLDallas will be there! Here’s the plan:
We will meet at Arapaho DART station no later than 12:45 PM to buy tickets and ride together: 1051 N. Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75081. We can carpool from CSLDallas if people want – please RSVP to one of the emails below so we can get a head count and your preference.
The train departs the Arapaho DART station at 12:58 PM. We will take Red Line toward Westmoreland. Exit at the Pearl/Arts District Station at 1:25PM. Walk to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1816 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201, where the march will begin. We will march and ride back together after the rally.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Appropriate clothing (latest forecast says partly cloudy and in the 50s)
- BE LOVE shirt, if you have one
- Positive sign, make one if you don’t already have one
Note: The march organizers are collecting donations for the New Beginning Center and Dallas Rape Crisis Center and you can bring to the march any of these items:
* Nonperishable Snacks
* Warm Weather Clothing
* Slipper Booties
* Sports Bras and Underwear
* All size new women’s underwear
* New children’s underwear (boys and girls)
* Toilet paper
* Laundry soap
