The polarized climate of today’s world stretches our capacity to express true compassion. Caring about what happens to others and wanting to make a difference in our family, and our communities can strain our compassion capacity too. As we know, research shows that compassion can be learned and that practicing it can benefit our health. So, how do we learn and practice even if stretched or stressed?
On September 14, we are gathering to learn and practice. This upcoming conference is designed by Compassionate Dallas Ft. Worth to provide tools to apply compassionate practices for ourselves, our families, and our world.
Register for the first annual Compassion Conference –
Compassion in Action: APPlications in Today’s Times, Download, Install and Run the Right Apps in Your Life.
Like the “Apps” we install to effectively manage our lives, the conference supplies “Apps” to help us to effectively practice compassion. Spend the day learning new ways to take up compassion and:
- Be inspired, take away valuable tools, benefit from real examples, and interact with people who have a passion for compassion
- Learn ways to renew yourself from compassion fatigue and the stresses of caring and serving others
- Gain an understanding of the meaning of compassion and its importance in our world
- Hear Keynote Speaker Marilyn Turkovich, Executive Director of the Charter for Compassion
About the Day
Participate in four highly interactive workshop sessions, hear from the Executive Director and from a panel of local community leaders, attend four workshop sessions of your choice, and enjoy a social event at the end of the day.
